What Is a Cookie?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a site. They are used to keep your session active and remember your preferences.
Cookies We Use
- Essential (session): Supabase authentication cookies, required to keep you signed in
- Functional: theme preference (light/dark mode) cookie
- Security: abuse and fraud prevention
- Analytics (third-party): Microsoft Clarity collects visit and interaction data to help us understand how the site is used; it may set its own cookies (for example _clck, _clsk)
- Analytics (third-party): Google Analytics (GA4) measures aggregate statistics such as visit counts and traffic sources; it may set its own cookies (for example _ga, _ga_*)
Fairmingo uses no advertising cookies. For analytics we use Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics, and the data collected is processed by Microsoft and Google respectively. You can limit these services from recording you by blocking cookies in your browser settings. Your language preference is kept in the URL itself, not in a cookie.
Managing Cookies
You can delete or block cookies from your browser settings. However, if you block essential session cookies, core features such as sign-in and messaging may not work.
